Nowruz Celebration (1402)

This year, the Iranian Cultural Society of NM and the Iranian Student Association at UNM jointly celebrate Nowruz at UNM. Please find the information for all events belows:

Chahar Shanbeh Souri
Chahar Shanbe Souri is the symbol of good health, cultivation, light, and purity to Iranians. It is believed that the ritual guarantees the dissipation of the misfortunes and evils, and of course, the materialization of people’s hopes and desires for the next year.

Nowruz Party
Date: Saturday, March 18, 2023
Time: 6:00pm to 11:00pm
Location: University of New Mexico Student Union Bldg. Ballroom A, and B
Price: $35 per person non-students. $20 per person for students. Cash or check only with check payable to ICSNM.
Dinner will be served along with Persian pastries, tea, fruits, music and dance.
